.NET in Docker
Session Synopsis:
We are familiar to use Virtual Machine when we need Virtualization for running web apps or web APIs. It was a good strategy however when we need to manage VM in huge or small environment, that will be a challenge for developers or IT Pro. What we need is actually something to run our apps in an environment similar to an OS. They call it Container or the trend now called Containerization. In this session, we will show how .NET can be run inside a container which is commonly used by developers and IT Pro, which is Docker. Some worried how to run such as web apps or web APIs inside Docker and how it relates with the DevOps methodology. Visual Studio was design to do this. Laterally you just add Docker Support and Run. We will talk about how to use Docker in Visual Studio and we will also talk a bit about Serverless architecture and Windows Nano Server for comparison.
